Anybody need some fun things to do with kids this summer? I say keep it easy. I am always amazed by the reaction I get from my girls when we do something that seems so simple to my ever-overcomplicating-things mind. With them we spend hours admiring bubbles... Heavenly, simple, family-oriented fun. Happy summer! It finally feels here.
PROJECT 1:
BUBBLES
Gazillion Bubbles were given to us as a gift and I am OBSESSED. They are better than any other I have ever tried. Just don't let little hands dump the whole bottle because then you would have a gazillion bubbles on the floor. And that would be very very sad.
PROJECT 2:
TOUCHY FEELY SENSORY GOO
Ingredients:
1 cup cornstarch
1/3 cup corn sugar
4 cups cold water
food coloring
sealable plastic bags
1/3 cup corn sugar
4 cups cold water
food coloring
sealable plastic bags
Whisk all ingredients together in a pot over medium heat. As the mix gets thicker and solidifies make sure to keep whisking so the consistency stays smooth. You will know the goo is getting to the right consistency when it changes from a white liquid to a clear goo.
Once it’s finished, remove from stove and let cool.
Get your colors ready!
Scoop goo into plastic bags and add a few drops of food coloring to each bag.
By far Em's favorite moment.
I have learned that my girls just love permanent coloring. It's dangerous...
Once colors are added seal bags.
Let little hands mix the color in with the "goo".
Letter Fun!
